We're looking for a Technical Product Manager to help drive the tactical execution efforts for the Alteryx Machine Learning team. The Alteryx Machine Learning team supports the next generation of Alteryx ML products as they move towards an expanded product portfolio. A successful Technical Product Manager/Product Owner will focus on translating the business value of product initiatives into functional features and user stories, will work day-to-day with the Machine Learning Engineering teams and key stakeholders to define the requirements for machine learning model processing, data insights, and next phase market moving features moving them from ideation through successful delivery.

Responsibilities


  • Work with one or more development teams on large scope projects across the entire product lifecycle (concept through end-of-life) participate in team ceremonies including stand-ups, story refinements and team retrospectives, to align the team towards a clear vision of next steps and priorities

  • Work with Product Management and Engineering teams to maintain a prioritized backlog

  • Work with engineering to create high fidelity user stories, research spikes, and tasks in Jira

  • Help turn engineering research spikes into discrete pieces of work for the backlog

  • Work with UI/UX teams and localization teams to ensure mockups are ready and the product is localization compliant

  • Collaborate with Engineering leaders to prepare and execute Agile ceremonies


Requirements

  • 3+ years of Technical Product Management/Product Owner or equivalent experience in the enterprise software industry

  • Demonstrated success defining and launching exciting software products in a CI/CD or Agile environment

  • Ability to use quantitative and qualitative data to assess priorities and influence roadmaps

  • Excellent communication skills, with ability to present complex ideas in a clear, concise fashion to technical and non-technical audiences

  • Detail oriented with critical thinking skills - ability to break down initiative-level requirements into feature and story attribute level details

  • Project management skills: ability to contribute to multiple projects simultaneously; strategic thinking with ability to build strong working relationships across organizational teams in a fast-paced and changing environment

  • Domain knowledge and experience with machine learning and/or advanced analytics processing preferred

Compensation
Alteryx is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role in Boston is $106,100 - $180,400. This position is also remote-friendly and, as such, compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.

This role is eligible for variable compensation including bonus and stock grants.
