Background information:

Innovative Defense Technologies (IDT), provider of automated software testing, data analysis, and cybersecurity solutions for complex, mission-critical systems in the US Department of Defense (DOD), is seeking a Technical Sourcer to be based in various location options.

This is a Hybrid role with flexibility, however it is not 100% remote. Applicants should be within proximity to one of the three office locations listed.

Overview:

The Technical Sourcer will be responsible for driving diverse talent to IDT. The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong background in sourcing cleared technical roles for the DoD such as software engineers, IT, and cyber security. The Technical Sourcer will partner with hiring teams to devise specific, targeted approaches to attract top talent across multiple office locations. The Technical Sourcer will focus on several key areas within Talent Acquisition: diversity, recruiting events, military outreach, strategic sourcing, and HR + government contractor compliance. This person will positively impact the candidate experience at IDT and directly contribute to strategic priorities at IDT. This role reports to the Talent Acquisition Manager.

All applicants must be able to obtain/maintain an active U.S. Security Clearance.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Maintain a diverse candidate pipeline for niche technical roles (software engineers, systems engineers, IT professionals, DoD security professionals) using talent attraction strategies such as cold-calling, sourcing, and social media outreach. Use diverse and unique sourcing strings on various web platforms
  • Lead strategies for identifying and attracting all types of candidates including non-traditional talent, candidates with federal security clearances, and technical/DoD subject matter experts
  • Partner with internal technical teams to develop strategies to source and recruit qualified candidates. Join weekly meetings with hiring managers and provide knowledge/insight on marketplace
  • Monitor and track market developments; create sourcing strategies by collecting, analyzing, and reviewing various market and candidate data
  • Proactively build relationships with local community organizations and professional organizations focused on diversity in tech. Develop proactive inclusive sourcing strategies
  • Follow appropriate compliance guidelines while reviewing candidate resumes ensuring their credentials and experience meet position requirements
  • Seek out, participate in, and share with the team learning opportunities to enhance sourcing techniques and stay current on the most innovative tools
  • Identify and attend industry events to network and attract qualified talent into the organization
  • Other recruitment tasks as assigned
Minimum Required Qualifications:
  • 5 years' experience in strategic technical sourcing and/or talent attraction experience, utilizing various sourcing and market analysis tools
Required skills:
  • Experience and understanding of Boolean searching and sourcing techniques
  • Experience sourcing for candidates with federal security clearances
  • Demonstrate an ability to ask questions and embrace continuous learning to stay on top of trends in the industry
  • Knowledge of applicable HR related federal OFCCP and EEO regulations.
  • Expertise with recruiting and sourcing candidates with federal security clearances
  • Experience managing and prioritizing multiple searches/positions in a fast paced, high-volume environment
Preferred skills:
  • Experience with ATS Jobvite
  • Experience sourcing engineers who are familiar with Navy software systems

  • Ability to think outside the box to devise innovative recruitment strategies
