Overview
This position is open until filled and the first review of applications will take place after June 16, 2023. This position is temporary with an end date of 8/31/2023.

The pay rate for this position is $20.02 - $21.24 per hour and is non-negotiable.

Under general supervision of the IT Security and Operations Manager, the IT Coordinator is responsible for serving as an initial point of contact for IT Support while facilitating excellent communication between the client and all members of the Information Systems department, as well as maintaining meticulous records and ensuring the continuity of processes.



Responsibilities
As the most-user facing member of the Information Systems team, this role is expected to collect, triage, research, and resolve computer- and application-related issues in a professional manner through direct customer interaction and achieve satisfactory resolution of issues utilizing support tools, service management software, diagnostic tools, and best-practices. This position answers incoming calls and responds to tickets in a professional manner as well as deploying workstations and laptops, troubleshooting issues, and responding to emails.



Position Specific Responsibilities

  • Monitors, responds to, and follows up on helpdesk service tickets
  • Deploy and manage desktops and laptops
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with Windows
  • Answers questions and troubleshoots issues for both on-site and remote users
  • Support various applications and services including email, Office 365, Sharepoint
  • Deploy and manage desktops and laptops


Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
  • General knowledge of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation
  • Knowledge of, and/or experience with, computer hardware and software for PCs
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair basic computer problems
  • Ability to follow directions and procedures; use standard office equipment; learn various computer systems; and work and communicate effectively with coworkers, faculty, staff, and students.
  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office including Word, Outlook and Excel as well as Google Mail and Calendar
  • Basic understanding of good customer service practices
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Understanding of standard office procedures


MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, educational technology, communications, or related field or similar certified coursework in applicable field of study.


MINIMUM EXPERIENCE

  • none

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Completion of some college IT coursework and/or job experience.
  • Customer service experience.
