Job Information

Test and inspect Portable Power units to the Engineering specifications. Assure units are correctly assembled to the Bill of Material and are at or beyond our quality standards. Document all relative data via computer or hand written. Assembles metal product, partially or completely, positioning parts according to knowledge of unit being assembled or following blueprints, diagrams, layouts or oral instruction.

Role & Responsibility

  • Test units to Engineering specifications.
  • Inspect units to our Quality standards.
  • Assure units are built correctly (to the Bill of Material).
  • Document information concisely and correctly.
  • Work with Quality and Engineering in troubleshooting issues.
  • Bring up any issues that pertain to providing our customers with world class products.
  • Positions parts according to knowledge of unit being assembled or blueprint.
  • Performs duties in a safe, efficient manner in compliance with safety rules and regulations.
  • Performs overtime work as required.
  • Keeps area clean and organized.
  • Assists in the instruction and training of others as requested by supervisor.
  • To perform other duties that is assigned by the supervisor.

Job Requirement

  • Must be able to follow established methods, procedures and perform work accordingly.
  • Must have the ability to work under time pressure for extended periods of time.
  • Must possess the ability to read build sheets and blueprints.
  • The ability to communicate with supervisors and fellow workers in both written and verbal forms at a level normally acquired through the completion of a high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Job specific skills, techniques and safe work and equipment operating practices are learned through on-the-job and classroom training.
  • General instructions are given on recurring duties, operations and assignments; detailed instructions are given on new duties, operations and assignments.
  • Candidate must possess a valid driver license.
  • Education Required: High School Diploma/Equivalent
  • Experience Required: 0>2 years
  • Travel Standard: < 10%

Difficulties
  • Work is performed in both a shop and outside environment.
  • Conditions include proximity to moving and mechanical parts, exposure to high noise levels requiring the use of hearing protection and exposure to vibration through the use of tools and equipment.
  • Subject to air and skin exposures to chemical hazards and atmospheric conditions that may affect the respiratory system such as fumes, odors, dusts, mists and gases.
  • Required to wear personal protective equipment.
