Position Overview:

Aramco Trading Americas (ATA) is seeking a Trading Desk Analyst to join our Light Ends Trading Team. The role reports under trading. This position provides an excellent opportunity to partner and work directly with a strong commercial team being the interface for the desk with commercial, scheduling, risk management, and finance. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, have a high level of intellectual curiosity, and a passion for analyzing results to drive P&L improvement for ATA. An experienced desk analyst will have the opportunity to provide analytical insight and consult to help drive future opportunities to optimize the business.

Experience and Qualifications Required:

Basic Qualifications:

• ETRM contract management and control
• Position monitoring and reconciliation as a liaison to Product Control
• P&L monitoring and reconciliation as a liaison to Product Control
• P&L explanation
• Assist team with deal entry, scheduling, or system discrepancies
• Ad-hoc analysis as required by the Desk Lead
• Prepare monthly results of desk performance for leadership review
• Work closely with Product Control and IT resources to maintain and improve Energy Trade Risk Management (ETRM) infrastructure
• Develop robust understanding of the desk (market structure, strategies, exposures) that can be leveraged to provide trade analysis and strategy recommendations that the desk would pay to obtain
• Provide support and expertise in ETRM system maintenance and curve management

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Engineering, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Sciences, etc.
• 6+ years of experience in related energy and/or industrial sector (oil & gas, petrochemical, refining, trading)
• Advanced skills in Excel with Excel/Power BI
• Strong analytical, verbal, and written skills
• Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis
• Work in office-based environment, located at ATA's corporate center in downtown Houston, TX
• Salary and benefits commensurate experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in a trading environment (trading analysis and/or risk management analysis)
• Experience working with an ETRM
• Knowledge of Light Ends Trading basics
• Knowledge of financial derivative instruments such as futures & swaps
• Experience performing data mining and modeling with Excel
