SUMMARY

Responsible for the all export and import activities at the facility level to ensure U.S. trade compliance regulatory requirements are being met under the ITAR, EAR and Foreign Trade agencies. This position will support both our Pottstown, PA and Franklin, WI plants.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

* International logistics Compliance - AES /EEI Filings
* Manage the use of Free Trade Agreements.
* Support license preparation and administration (ITAR and EAR)
* Support the Importing Process
* Perform denied party screening
* Track compliance metrics
* Conduct compliance related training as needed
* End User certification review and approval
* Support Engineering in the ITAR and EAR classification determination, assignment of Schedule B number and HTS codes
* Maintaining all documents related to import/export transactions and U.S. Customs clearance including but not limited to: Commercial Invoices, Export Packing Lists, AES Filings, Shipper's Letters of Instruction, Certificates of Compliance and/or Conformity, Air and Ocean Bills of Lading, Shipper's Export Declarations, Denied Party Screening verifications
* Serve as CIT's "empowered official" per the International Traffic and Arms Regulations (ITAR) to provide required certifications to the U.S. State Department Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC) by signing export licenses and export agreements. Must be U.S. Person within the meaning of ITAR and EAR regulations.
* Daily management of the Global Trade Systems
* Perform other related tasks, special projects, and duties of a clerical and/or administrative nature as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job function satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

* College graduate with 3 -5 years of experience in international trade compliance related to export rules and regulations, licensing, and free trade agreements. Has held the position of an Empowered Offical
* Ability and proficiency in operating a computer using various software programs, including, but not limited to Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, SharePoint, VISIO, as required to perform assigned functions.
* Thorough understanding of mathematics and capable of evaluating the reasonableness of data and the graphical representation of information.
* Excellent command of grammar, punctuation, and spelling and be knowledgeable in compositional structure.
* Ability to deal effectively and tactfully with all levels of personnel, including Company/Corporate management, both in person and through telephone or email communication. Knowledgeable concerning company personnel policies and practices.
