The PIP Attorney will be part of a dynamic team and responsible for analyzing arbitration demands; preparing comprehensive initial file reviews that identify all central and ancillary issues and analyzes those issues; preparing detailed, comprehensive and thorough arbitration submissions, post arbitration submissions and an analysis of the arbitration award; and participating in arbitrations.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Possesses at least two years relevant PIP arbitration experience.
- Analyze complex arbitration demands referred from Claims and prepare action plans and necessary submissions.
- Interface and develop a rapport with Claims.
- Conducts EUOs when necessary.
- Possesses excellent knowledge of all statutes, regulations, NCCI edits, Medicare sites etc. necessary to prepare detailed submissions addressing all issues.
- Possesses excellent knowledge of all aspects of the Insurance Law, such as coverage questions, UM and UIM Coverage, No-Fault, etc.
- Provides legal research and direction to Claims on cases of significant exposure and complexity.
- Work independently in making decisions in file handling and communicating those decisions to the proper parties.
- Ability to utilize case management system and Outlook and work in a paperless environment.
- Fully licensed to practice law in New Jersey.
