This position works within a team of 6 drivers primarily responsible to move trailers between our main plant and our drop yard primarily over I-295. This work group also performs some local drop/hook trips. We understand that good drivers are in high demand and that you can be selective about where you work. • We have modified our hourly compensation levels, pay is not activity-based and we now lead other companies with similar job duties
  • All shifts will be based upon a 4-day work week with a 4-week rotation that includes two back-to-back days off as well as every Sunday and some Saturday's
  • Most shifts start mid-day and go throughout the evening hours and are typically wrapped up around midnight
  • Compensation is based upon experience after a short skills evaluation. If you are experienced with a great safety record, you will earn at the higher end of the compensation range
  • Although newly licensed drivers will initially earn less, Oakhurst offers a great operational training ground for newer drivers. In addition, we will provide support so that you can develop your skills and move to higher earnings potential quickly
  • For your first full year of employment, you will earn 3 ½ weeks of paid time off
  • Drivers that operate safely will earn up to a $1000 safety bonus annually
  • Immediate eligibility for medical, dental and 401K with a company matching contribution
  • All scheduling and employee coordination is managed by a strong and supportive local management team
  • We own our equipment and have our own fleet maintenance facility and staff on-site
  • Our tractor fleet continues to be upgraded each year - many with automatic transmissions

  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License
  • Ability to obtain an unencumbered DOT Medical Card
  • Strong operational knowledge of Hours-of-Service rules and regulations
  • Knowledge and ability to consistently perform pre/post trip vehicle and equipment inspections
