Job Description

A Truck-Tank Detailer is responsible for completing the following duties:

• Confined space entry
• Cleaning outside and inside of the tanks
• Fabricate and install parts required per order, parts are custom made or made to the detail drawings that are provided per job
• Use of hand tools for deburring, grinding, cutting, drilling, and buffing aluminum
• Move materials as needed
• Prepare the area for the next project
• 5S
• Keep floor clean and free of aluminum and tools, sweeping when necessary
• Arranging tools: set out or put away tools
• Keep manufacturing areas free of debris and dirt
• Operate forklift and over-head crane according to safe operating procedures, including acquisition and maintenance training certificate
• Hold or supply materials and tools
• Locate parts, tag them with identifying text and numbers
• Assist with any fixes
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Hand tool knowledge
• Able to read blueprints
• Read 1/8", 1/16", and 1/32" gradations on tape measure
• Convert feet to inches and vice versa
• Convert fractions to decimals
• Manual dexterity to use tools and factory machines
• Time management
