Description: Our client is currently seeking a Underwriter

We are seeking an Asset Manager to manage a portfolio of complex debt and equity investments in both ground-up developments and transitional / value-add operating properties focused primarily in the affordable housing and multifamily markets. Services are provided in partnership with the client's own activities. Principal Responsibilities

• Assessing performance of the assets relative to original underwriting or business plans, competitors, and market conditions
• Reviewing and approving monthly or quarterly reporting
• Interacting with third-party lenders and consultants including attorneys, title agents, brokers and sales agents, and construction consultants
• Coordinating communications between multiple stakeholders including borrowers and lender partners, as well as internal business and credit leadership
• Performing annual reviews (operating, financial and market performance) of assets in assigned portfolio
• Reviewing and approving draw requests
• Coordinating asset servicing and reporting responsibilities with internal departments to ensure proper tracking and timely and accurate reporting
• Review and analyze loan modification and refinance opportunities
• Occasional site visits required

Reporting Review and evaluate monthly / quarterly operating performance (Rent Rolls, Operating Statements, Collections) Perform regular compliance tests for loan covenants (Debt-Yield, Loan-to-Value, Debt Service Coverage) Review monthly draw construction submissions from borrowers and lender partners Market Awareness Maintain broad overview knowledge of major markets (trends, drivers, rents, values, etc.) to support sound assessment of property operations. Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in finance, real estate, or a related field, with 10 to 15 years of underwriting and/or lender asset management experience on multifamily properties; or, a Master's Degree in finance, real estate, or a related field, with 10 years of underwriting and/or lender asset management experience on multifamily properties, with experience in Affordable multifamily (LIHTC, HUD, Tax-Exempt Bonds) preferred
• 10 to 15 years of experience working with complex structured-finance legal documents
• 10 to 15 years of construction lending or servicing in Commercial Real Estate
• 10 to 15 years of experience underwriting, researching, comparing, analyzing and reporting data on multifamily assets
• 10 to 15 years of experience performing complex analysis in Microsoft excel
• Solid understanding of commercial real estate structured-finance transactions
• Solid analytical and negotiating skills
• Solid understanding of Real Estate Capital Markets
• Strong mathematical aptitude
• The ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook
