Asa Unit Coordinator in the Psychiatric Unit, you will play a critical role inpatient care by serving as the central source of information by communicatingwith patients, families and medical staff. You will transcribe medical chartsfor patients to ensure that all of their medical treatments and procedures arecarried out. The position requires a high degree of accuracy and strongcommunications skills. To fill this position, we are looking for:

• Individuals who are highly organized andcan prioritize and manage information in a demanding environment

• Talented and compassionate communicatorswho manage patient records according to order, completeness, integrity,confidentiality and security

• People who thrive in a fast-pacedenvironment where accuracy, professionalism and customer service skills arerequired

• Effective coordinators who can arrangefor patient services between multiple departments

Thehours for this position are 7am-3:30pm and 3pm to 11:30pm including weekends

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required;Associate Degree preferred

• Medicalor health care experience desirable, but willing to train otherwise qualifiedcandidates.

• Basiccomputer skills and the ability to learn new systems and procedures

• Effective interpersonal andcommunication skills

• Strongcustomer service orientation and the ability to interact with diverse groups ofpatients, staff and providers

• Demonstrated ability to solve basicpatient and practice problems.
