Overview

i3 is seeking a motivated and ambitious Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Network Integrator to join the Software, Simulation, Systems Engineering and Integration Directorate (S3I) Joint Technology Center - Systems Integration Lab (JSIL) Tech Center. The UAS Network Integrator will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex network infrastructures as well as perform system level installation, configuration, automation, test, and analysis on Red Hat Linux, Windows, and hypervisor-based environments with significant network equipment considerations.
Responsibilities

  • Work with software developers and systems engineers to design and integrate network configurations, firewall configurations, and associated documentation.
  • Evaluate, design, document, install, implement, test, and perform component isolation for identified artifacts.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain a complex range of computer network components and systems.
  • Perform configuration, administration, troubleshooting and support of networking devices, WAN/LAN optimization systems, VoIP/RoIP/Video, and encryption devices.
  • Work with software developers, network engineers, and systems engineers to integrate commercial and government software applications into Operating Systems.
  • Work within an Agile scrum development model producing full system installation images on a biweekly basis
  • Use scripting languages to install software applications and configure operating system settings in Bash, PowerShell, Java, and Python.
  • Develop engineering technical material including but not limited to system decryption documents, network installation guides, data flow, and network diagrams.
Qualifications

Required Education:
  • Possess a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Computer Information Systems, or equivalent degree from an accredited university, or minimum four (4) years or more of related experience

Required Skills:
  • Experience with advanced network configuration, implementation and/or design.
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification or better is a plus.
  • Ability to obtain or maintain a DoD IAT level II certification or networking.
  • Extensive experience with Cisco networking technologies, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols such as TCP/IP, routing, VPNs and multicast traffic.
  • Understanding of zone-based firewall policies, OSPF, and network address translation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex network issues.
  • Experience with systems integration, system administration, or software test.
  • Experience with computing system architectures and virtual machines.
  • UNIX based Operating System and Windows certifications are a plus.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, and PowerShell are a plus.
  • Experience with datacenter architectures (cluster computing, fault tolerant, or high availability system) is a plus.
  • Experience with Software Defined Networking (SDN) is a plus.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) is a plus.
  • Experience with configuration management tools, such as Chef, Puppet, and/or Ansible, is a plus.
  • Desire to work onsite with the highly dynamic and collaborative team environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Required Clearance:
  • Must have or be able to obtain a SECRET security clearance.
