As a Principal UX Researcher within the Digital Wallets and Shopping Team, you will play a crucial role in developing a deep understanding of consumers globally. You will work with your cross-functional team members to influence decisions and ultimately deliver the best possible Digital Wallet and Shopping experiences for our consumers around the world.

At PayPal, UX Researchers influence teams to make customer-centric decisions across the product development lifecycle. This includes early research to understand customer needs and problems and continues through to post-launch research that informs future iterations. Our studies employ a variety of qualitative and quantitative research methods. We start with asking the right questions and end with targeted deliverables and storytelling that captivate and move stakeholders to action. UX Researchers focus on impact of our research and are steadfast advocates for our customers. As a Principal UX Researcher you will be the voice of the customer and an influential leader in our organization. You will craft research programs across one or more product domains that bring team members answers to their most important questions.

You will demonstrate the breadth and depth of impact UX Research can have and guide others to do the same.

You will report to the Senior Director of UX Research and be a member of our diverse Global Design Organization where we believe that different perspectives and backgrounds inside our team lead to innovation and inclusion in our product design. Job Responsibilities

• Leading programs of research as well as executing research across complex product domains: identifying the right research questions, defining the participant sample, designing the study and executing with attention to detail and quality.
• Analyze data, develop impactful insights and deliverables, often triangulating with other data sources like Market Research, Voice of the Customer, Product Marketing, Product Analytics.
• Present actionable and convincing insights and recommendations to multiple teams and leaders across the organization, being an experienced presenter, facilitator and evangelist.
• Plan and deliver large-scale research programs within budget, timeline and project requirements.
• Contribute new insights and directions to our thriving UX Research community, providing guidance to other team members, leveraging your strengths to help others grow.

Requirements

• 8+ years' experience
• Bachelor's and/or Master's Degree in the study of user experience, design, research or related fields.
• Experience across products and platforms, financial services expertise an advantage.
• Experience with a variety of research methods and approaches with an understanding of the bigger picture and the ability to influence and guide others.

Colorado Only: The pay range for this position in Colorado starts as mentioned below per year, plus annual bonus or commission if a Sales role. We take into consideration an individual's background and experience in determining final salary.
