Job Description:

The University of Florida Pet Emergency Treatment Services in Ocala, FL is seeking a Veterinary Technician Supervisor to become part of our team. Our after-hours and weekend emergency hospital offers competitive salaries and flexible schedules.

The Veterinary Technician Supervisor is responsible for training veterinary technicians and support staff, supervision of personnel, as well as working in conjunction with the Practice Manager on budgets and general hospital operations. The critical competencies for this position include a good base knowledge of emergency veterinary medicine, excellent nursing skills, exceptional communication skills and the ability to plan and prioritize.

    This is a full-time, benefited position and is considered essential personnel. A post-offer health assessment and background check are required.

    Expected Salary:

    $28.00 - $34.00 hourly, based on experience

    Minimum Requirements:

    Credentialed veterinary technician and four years of experience exposed to veterinary emergency medicine. Credentialed veterinary technician (CVT/LVT/RVT).

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Emergency Medicine Experience
  • Leadership Experience
