Position Summary:
To provide legal counsel to the corporation. Provide overall management and leadership in the strategic design, development and management of legal affairs and contract management at YKHC. Provides in-house legal advice and counsel to YKHC, supervises outside counsel, and shall represent YKHC in such matters as requested or directly by YKHC President. The VPLA is responsible directing all legal functions of the corporation in accordance with the policies and practices of the corporation, the ethical and social consciences of business and society and the laws, regulations and administrative rulings of governmental organizations and other regulatory and advisory authorities and organizations. Will oversee all day-to-day operations and establish sound management practices and procedures in support of the YKHC Corporate Mission and strategic planning activities. The VPLA will report directly to the President/Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and represent the Division at all Board meetings.
