Visiting Assistant Professor in Modern European History

Kenyon College, a highly selective, nationally ranked liberal arts college in central Ohio, invites applications for a one-year visiting assistant professor in modern European History, beginning July 1, 2024. The successful candidate will teach both survey and upper-level seminar courses in modern and early modern European history, some with a broader comparative scope and others on their region of specialization. The visitor will also benefit from Kenyon students' passionate interest in the humanities and strengthen their credentials with a year of teaching at Kenyon. Candidates should have a record of excellent teaching and a Ph.D. in hand or be near completion by the beginning of the appointment.

Candidates advancing to the interview stage will be asked to submit a statement of teaching philosophy that addresses pedagogical inclusion of a diverse student population and an unofficial graduate school transcript.
