The University of Richmond's Department of Rhetoric and Communication Studies invites applications for the position of Visiting Assistant Professor for the 2024-25 academic year.

The successful candidate for this position will teach the department's "Introduction to Digital Humanities" and "Data and Society" courses, in addition to electives related to their area of research expertise. While we are open to a range of scholarly interests, we are especially receptive to colleagues committed to interdisciplinarity, working in one or more of the following areas: digital humanities, media infrastructures, platform studies and/or media technologies, code studies, or American Studies. We are also interested in candidates with a strong commitment to pedagogies that value diversity and inclusivity. The teaching load is three classes per semester. A Ph.D. is required prior to appointment.
