Overview

Want to make a difference as a Web Developer? Our team needs a well rounded and articulate web designer who is up for a challenge. The Web Developer will fill several roles from the day-to-day, serving as the content manager for both the internal and external customer web sites, to the critical - managing the publication of all customer reports. The Web Developer will work in a highly visible role for the final review for Section 508 compliance of all customer reports. As customer transitions to cloud-based solutions, the web developer will also participate in developing and deploying web pages and applications that are critical to delivering the customer Mission.
Contributions

The Web Developer shall participate in the technical planning, design, development, testing, implementation, and management of Internet, intranet, and extranet activities, including systems/applications development and technical management of websites. The contractor shall serve as web content manager. Additionally, the Web Developer shall also organize and manage multiple complex and inter-related websites; making documents and websites Section 508 compliant; meeting with customers and staff to formulate and review task plans and deliverable items.
Qualifications

  • US Citizen
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience managing web content for a Federal agency and/or;
  • Bachelor's degree, or higher, in an IT-related field.
  • Proficient working knowledge of Drupal, Adobe Acrobat Creative Suite, SharePoint (2019 and Online), Joomla, and Emerald.
  • Proficient with web development tools HTML 5, JavaScript, CSS, and frameworks.
  • Proficient at making documents and websites Section 508 compliant in accordance with DHS and Federal standards.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience providing project briefs to senior executives
  • Ability to maintain workload in a fast paced environment with rapidly changing priorities
  • Experience supporting systems in Agile and DevOps environments.
Steampunk is a federal contractor subject to Executive Order 14042 and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 52.223-99 implementing the order. Therefore, this position requires full vaccination for COVID-19, except in jurisdictions where the mandate is barred by a court ordered injunction.
