Description: Our client is currently seeking a Web Developer (Wordpress) working fully remote!

We're hiring an experienced Senior WordPress Developer to join our team!

We are looking for an experienced Senior WordPress Developer to join our marketing team and help accelerate our digital strategy. As a senior web developer, you will play a critical role in increasing brand awareness, simplifying the loan process for borrowers, developing tools to increase leads, and helping better serve our communities. This role will be responsible for designing and developing custom WordPress themes and plugins, building websites using various technology stacks, and integrating third-party software and RESTful APIs. The ideal candidate is an experienced WordPress web developer with a passion for marketing. Your talent for developing, creating, maintaining, troubleshooting websites and web applications with a marketing-centric approach will be the key to your success.

This job will have the following responsibilities:

• Do you have a background in WordPress development and strong PHP or JavaScript skills?
• Have you worked with the WordPress Customize and REST APIs?
• Do you have a marketing-centric approach to your web development?

Qualifications & Requirements:

• 5+ years' WordPress development experience - digital agency (or consulting firm) a plus
• WordPress custom theme & plugin development
• Working with the WordPress Customize and REST APIs
• WordPress multisite development
• Programming in PHP, JavaScript and jQuery
• HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, and SASS (SCSS)
• Backend website maintenance
• A flexible, multi-disciplinary developer able to quickly learn new web platforms and libraries
• Managing staging websites, backups, updates, and other general site management on WPEngine or other web hosting platforms
• Processing JSON feeds and integrating RESTful APIs into websites
• Version control systems (Git/GitLab preferred)
• Creating websites while being mindful of SEO best practices •Ensuring your deliverables are timely and exceed user expectations
• Experienced people manager - this position will have one direct report

• Digital agency or consulting firm experience
• A background in Digital Marketing, UX or Visual Design
• Applicable work experience at a mortgage company or financial institution
