Workday Financial Management System Specialist


• Assist Public Consulting Group’s Corporate Finance Dept. with the implementation of the Workday Financial Management and Adaptive Planning systems.
• Work with a cross-functional team of Finance, IT, and business leaders to ensure a successful implementation.
• Advise internal team regarding system design and participate in system design with the Workday implementation team.
• Write detailed test plans.

Conduct testing and provide oversight of users participating in User Acceptance Testing.
• Assist with system configuration.
• Assist with user training and developing content for training videos.
• Post go-live: (1)assist with 2nd phase of implementation; (2)provide ongoing system support to users; (3)troubleshoot and resolve system issues encountered by users; (4)gather and document requirements for future configuration changes; (5)write test plans and conduct testing for ongoing Workday releases.

• Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast paced environment with multiple deadlines
• Ability to work effectively with, and communicate with all levels of management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications, especially Excel.
• Possess discretion to work with confidential information. 
• Work with a cross-functional team of Finance, IT, and business leaders to ensure a successful implementation.
• Advise internal team regarding system design and participate in system design with the Workday implementation team.
• Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals

• Recent hands-on experience using and configuring workday financial managementand adaptive planning systems

• Experience writing test plans for a system implementationand/or upgrades/releases preferred (but not required)

• System implementation experience preferred

 

Education: Bachelors and/or Masters Degree in Accounting/Finance

 

Experience: 1 – 2 years experience using and configuring Workday Financial Management and Adaptive Planning.

 

5 - 10 years experience working in the accounting/finance field.

 

Applicant may be required to travel to the Boston office on a quarterly basis
 

Ability to work successfully with a remote team
