About You

You are a flexible, focused multi-tasker who likes working outdoors as much as possible. You enjoy a fast-paced environment where your team counts on you to be organized. You like doing different tasks throughout the day and operating a fork lift is something you enjoy (or want to learn how to do)! People have commended you on your attention to detail, and you don't mind a little bit of paperwork. You're looking for a job that provides extensive training and room for growth!

Position Snapshot
Conveniently located along Rabbit Transit's bus route 6N. Our Yard Jockey/Equipment Operators move material throughout the facility for treatment and disposal by operating heavy equipment such as yard tractors and roll-off trucks

Day in the Life:

After clocking in and grabbing your favorite morning beverage, you can expect to:

• Operate trucks such as straight trucks & yard tractors safely in a plant yard environment; CDL not required but would be helpful

• Prepare roll off boxes per proper safety procedures &move via straight trucks within the plant

• Use of Yard tractors to move other vehicles around the yard, including 53' van trailers, bulk liquid tankers, and bulk end dump trailers

• Monitor basic fluid levels in all truck equipment will be expected, as well as adding oil and hydraulic fluid when needed

• Inspect vehicles and equipment regularly according to pre-defined procedures, and keep all cab areas clean and neat

What you need to apply

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred

• 1 year of general labor experience preferred

• CDL is a plus but not required

• Comfort wearing a respirator as needed

• Ability to work a flexible schedule

• Ability to pass pre-employment background checks and drug screening
