Role overview

The Manager, Clinical Intelligence Analytics - Value Team, reporting to the Senior Director, is responsible for dashboard building and design, driving clinical data analytics, financial impact evaluations, and clinical programs cost saving evaluations for the expert medical opinion part of the organization, as well as other enterprise-wide solutions and efforts. This role works closely with clinical strategy leadership, clinical operational leadership, finance, marketing, product, technology, actuarial, and business development teams to create best in class clinical programs that offers the highest clinical effectiveness, member experience, patient outcomes, and deliver business value to our customers.

We are looking for an entrepreneurial individual who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves and dive into the weeds, as well as who can see the bigger picture, and lead junior level staff to support ongoing routine work and jump on high visibility projects and generate results with the rapid changing business environment.

A day in the life...

  • Lead clinical analytic projects, and dashboard building to support the inclusion of second medical opinion offering to our direct clients and health plan partners, estimate cost saving and outcomes impact of partner solutions
  • Collaborate with clinical operations, clinical strategy, technology, finance, actuarial team, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on projects to support business objectives on clinical effectiveness, revenue, growth, quality, and efficiency
  • Lead business case development for new clinical programs including clinical outcomes, savings, and staffing models to deliver on our clinical strategy
  • Proactively identify, develop, manage, and execute analyses to uncover areas of gaps, opportunities to rethink routine and automate/streamline outdated processes. Present recommendations to senior leadership in a clear and easy to understand manner
  • Build a partnership relationship with various teams to understand how our operational team runs their day-to-day work, connect the dots between frontline teams' workflow and enterprise data to identify trends, metrics and key KPI to life for senior executives to understand Build effective relationships, listen, communicate, influence, and collaborate cross-team at all organizational levelsProvide direct oversight to team including workload planning, coaching, constructive feedback and personal development of direct reportsEffectively lead a high functioning team who require minimal oversight to remain involved only when required to meet complex schedules and/or resolve complex problems.
What we are looking for...
  • Master's degree or equivalent work experience in data science, actuarial science, or other analytic areas
  • 8+ years of experience in population health, utilization management, actuarial science, health insurance data analytic are a plus
  • Experienced and proficient to perform and oversee analytic work in program/software languages such as: R, Python, SQL, VBA, and Excel
  • Have previous people management experience
  • An excellent leader, who enables their team to work autonomously, with a "can-do" attitude
  • Ability to manage and lead multiple projects at the same time, stay organized and communicate progresses, challenges and wins to leadership throughout the projects, and deliver results that meets agreed upon due dates
  • Highest level of professionalism and integrity
  • Have a curious mind, someone who isn't satisfied with routine and repetitive work, who is thirsty for new and innovative way of thinking and loves to tell stories with data
  • Demonstrated ability to understand the drivers of business performance and the interdependencies of business processes and data
  • Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences and delivering strategic corporate level insights
  • Demonstrated ability to manage, organize, and motivate others
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills characterized by the ability to listen, to speak and to write well
