Part Time & Full Time Opportunities!

Part Time Hours: 3:45 p.m. to 7:45 p.m.

OR

Full Time Hours: 11:15 a.m. to 7:45 p.m. Every other weekend rotation

Location: Norfolk Veterans Home- 600 E Benjamin Ave. Norfolk, NE 68701

Salary: $10.973/hour. Increase to $12.00/hr on July 1st
Examples of Work
Perform routine work in the simple preparation, serving and clean-up of food in a long term setting center under supervision from Food Service Manager.
Qualifications / Requirements
REQUIREMENTS: Coursework, training and/or experience in food preparation, food service or working in a kitchen.

PREFERRED: Experience in long term care or hospital food service.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Must be able to follow instructions. Ability to stand on feet for 8 hours per day. Understand production sheets, special diets, diet sheets, diet cards, and follow quantity recipes. Ability to work quickly, and get along with members with special needs. Understand cleaning compounds and chemicals used within the department. Ability to tolerate high temperature and high humidity; bend, stoop, lift and carry food items, equipment and supplies.
