What You Will Do

The Mgr 2, Area Production Manager optimizes production by leading teams in quality, safety, planning, and lean manufacturing. They foster a collaborative, results-oriented environment in line with Panduit's values, driving continuous improvement and a strong safety culture. Committed to meeting business needs, they support company initiatives, serving as a role model for leadership and continuous improvement. Overall job responsibilities include:

  • Lead production teams for optimized workflow and communication through effective scheduling, coaching, and employee development.
  • Implement Production Training Programs for job training, lean manufacturing, and quality to support current and future business needs.
  • Ensure a safe work environment by actively promoting safety policies, Safe Start initiatives, and maintaining diligent housekeeping.
  • Achieve production goals and Key Performance Indicators, emphasizing safety, delivery, product quality, cost performance, and talent development.
  • Drive plant-wide continuous improvement through performance reviews, CI strategies, and technology research, fostering employee involvement.
  • Actively lead and promote key Panduit Initiatives, including Culture of Accountability, Operational Excellence, and Safety.
  • Manage resource planning, capacity development, and manufacturing routings, ensuring short-term and long-term operational efficiency.
  • Contribute to business initiatives such as budget preparation, cost reduction, and technology research, collaborating with business units to achieve operational goals.
What You Will Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business, or 10+ years of production management experience in lieu of a degree required
  • 8-10 years of overall experience, with 5-10 years in production supervisory or management roles required
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and teamwork/collaboration skills
  • Proven ability to lead teams and make effective decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in selecting, leading, evaluating, coaching, developing, guiding, and motivating teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid decision-making abilities, operational planning, problem-solving, manufacturing process understanding, and financial management/budgetary knowledge
  • Strong analytical, planning, organizational, project management, and multi-tasking skills
  • Working knowledge of inventory systems
  • Change agent with demonstrated expertise in Lean, Continuous Improvement, Panduit Operating Model, and safety management.
